What We Do

Beutler Wiki Relations helps you to understand and work cooperatively with Wikipedia and successfully engage similar open-source communities. We will help you assess your standing on Wikipedia, determine what is possible to accomplish, and establish the best course of action for improving your Wikipedia presence through successful engagement with the Wikipedia community.

A typical project follows a four-step process: issue identification, background research, copy writing, and community engagement. First, the BWR team carefully reviews existing Wikipedia articles to identify inaccuracies, missing information and other areas for improvements. Once we are knowledgeable about the topic, we craft a bespoke plan for improving the quality of information relevant to you. No matter the topic, our goal is to help bring your article in line with Wikipedia’s standards.

We place a premium on thorough research and quality copywriting with special care for Wikipedia’s Manual of Style to make sure that our material is well-written, encyclopedic, and appropriate to the topic area. We’ll then work with you to gain consensus from the Wikipedia community in support of your goals, assisting to facilitate engagement with volunteer editors.

Using this process, we research and write some of Wikipedia’s best articles: three of our recent projects have been recognized as “Good Articles” per Wikipedia’s quality rating system, putting them in the top 0.05% of all Wikipedia articles. Our aim is for all of our clients’ articles to be amongst the best on Wikipedia: well-written, neutral, and accurate.
